Arg-C is a specialized endopeptidase that hydrolyzes peptide bonds at the carboxyl side of arginine residues. It maintains efficiency even when arginine is adjacent to proline. This enzyme is frequently used in tandem with other proteases to increase sequence coverage in mass spectrometry workflows.
