Protein separation and purification is an important part of proteomics research. We can provide you with customized protein purification services, including tagged/unlabeled recombinant proteins, purification and separation of natural proteins, etc. According to the nature of the protein, a variety of protein purification experimental schemes such as affinity purification, ion exchange, molecular sieve, and hydrophobicity were designed to obtain high purity proteins. It can be customized one-to-one according to customer needs, and can meet a series of delicate experimental requirements such as protein folding and recrystallization.

Common methods for protein purification are as follows:

  • Gel filtration chromatography: Separation is based on differences in size or shape between molecules. It is suitable for separating high molecular compounds with a relative molecular mass greater than 2000, and mixtures and oligomers with large differences in relative molecular mass.
  • Ion exchange chromatography: Separation is based on the difference in electrostatic charge on the surface of protein molecules.

    The cation exchange is mainly to change the pH, which is mainly used for proteins with an isoelectric point greater than 5;

    Anion exchange is mainly to change the salt concentration, suitable for most proteins. The ability to remove impurities is strong, and it has a significant effect on proteins with different heat sources, nucleic acids, exotoxins and charge.

  • Hydrophobic chromatography: Separation is based on the difference in hydrophobic interaction between protein and hydrophobic adsorbent. It has a wide range of applications, and in principle can be used for the purification of all proteins. It is suitable for extracting low-level target proteins from large volumes and has a high removal rate of DNA and calf serum.
  • Affinity chromatography: according to the specific affinity between biologically active substances and specific ligands to achieve the purpose of separation. It is suitable for affinity purification of antigens and antibodies, as well as purification of a series of tags.

Natural protein purification service

  • Separation and purification of natural macromolecular protein:

    Molecular sieve with appropriate pore size is used for separation and purification. Anion, cation adsorption column and HLPC are used together to identify and collect the corresponding elution peak.

  • Natural small molecule protein separation and purification:

    Multi-layer separation and filtration combined with molecular sieve to remove macromolecular impurities, combined with macroporous resin or reverse resin to purify small molecular proteins, identified and purified by HPLC and MS.

  • Separation and purification of mixed unknown protein samples:

    Creative BioMart formulates corresponding schemes for separation and purification, and confirms the separated products by various schemes such as mass spectrometry identification and activity identification.

Recombinant protein purification service

  • Recombinant protein de-tagging and separation and purification:

    Commercial affinity purification resins, such as Ni columns, GST-Beads, etc., are used to separate and purify fusion proteins with 6xHis, GST, SUMO, and MBP to obtain fusion proteins with a purity of more than 90%.

  • Unlabeled recombinant protein purification:

    Antibody affinity purification; we can also choose a method similar to natural protein purification, which depends on the project.

  • Inclusion body degeneration and renaturation purification.

    According to the different properties of the protein, we can choose urea, guanidine hydrochloride, detergent, extreme pH, etc., to ensure that the soluble protein in the monomer state is obtained.
