Rapid Run Agarose Beads

Agarose bead for size exclusion chromatography (SEC) is a material commonly used for protein purification. It is a high-molecular-weight polymer with many tiny pores that can efficiently separate target proteins. During chromatography, samples are applied to a series of columns packed with agarose resin. The pore size in the resin is designed according to the molecular weight of the protein so that the target protein can be selectively separated. Rapid run agarose beads are used for industrial-scale separation of large molecules at higher pressures and flow rates than standard size beads, allowing quality control of polymer-based products and improving synthetic processes.
