Spdtran

Gel filtration chromatography (GFC), also known as size exclusion chromatography (SEC), is a method that uses the network structure of the gel to separate molecules according to their size. The medium used for GFC is gel beads formed from cross-linked glucose, agarose, or polyacrylamide. Various types of agarose beads have different sieve sizes due to their porous inner network structure. Spdtran is a beaded gel filtration medium prepared by cross-linking dextran for the purification of protein and nucleic acid in biochemical experiments. Spdtran has high chemical stability and is widely used in the purification of downstream proteins, nucleic acids, and peptides in biopharmaceuticals and bioengineering.
