Introduction of Ceramic Hydroxyapatite
Ceramic hydroxyapatite (CHT) chromatography is a common separation technique that can be used to separate and purify biomacromolecules such as proteins and nucleic acids. By utilizing the special properties of CHT, the target molecules are separated from other impurity molecules. By exchanging cations between phosphate and calcium ions, CHT achieves the purpose of eluting protein. The removal of polymers, antibody fragments, viruses, nucleic acids, and other impurities in the antibody production process can be effectively achieved by CHT, especially the removal of high polymers. CHT has become a key technology for the purification of many antibodies, vaccines, and other drugs, and has broad application prospects in the fields of biomedicine, bioengineering, and biopharmaceuticals in the future.
