Mass Spec Grade Asp-N is a metalloprotease that specifically cleaves peptide bonds N-terminal to aspartic acid residues in phosphate, acetate, or Tris buffers at pH 6.0-8.5.
Physical Appearance
Mass Spec Grade Asp-N protease is a lyophilized powder (containing 10 mM Tris-HCl)
Molecular Weight
24.5 kDa
Resuspension Buffer
Add 50 μL ultrapure water to dissolve.
Storage
Store lyophilized powder at -20 °C; store reconstituted enzyme at -20 °C or -80 °C.
Shelf life
12 months at -80 ℃
Usage Notes
Use at a 1:50 protease-to-protein ratio (w/w) and digest in a 37°C water bath for 4 hours. Buffer solution: 10 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5. To avoid autolysis, the incubation temperature must not exceed 37°C.
