Butyl Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography Resin, Fast Flow is a hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) medium prepared by coupling n-butyl to agarose gel microspheres via stable ether bonds. High-Performance Butyl Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography Resin is a high-resolution butyl resin—HP stands for High Performance—and is mainly used in polishing steps. The n-butyl "pure hydrophobic" group shows different selectivity for hydrophobic amino acid residues compared with the phenyl group. The product retains the favorable hydrophilicity and large pore structure of agarose, offering good compatibility with bioactive macromolecules, high capacity, low non-specific adsorption, and fast flow rates. It is widely used for laboratory-scale preparation and industrial biopharmaceutical production of proteins, peptides, and other hydrophobic biomolecules.
