Capto SP ImpRes resin

Product Information
Cat#No# Ca-447C
Product Overview With a high binding capacity and small bead size, Capto SP ImpRes strong cation exchanger is a good choice for reliable and robust polishing steps in industrial purification.
Description Capto SP ImpRes is strong cation and strong anion exchangers for the high-throughput intermediate purification and polishing steps of a wide range of biomolecules. Both chromatography media (resins) are part of platform of high-resolution media based on the Capto product line.
By combining the high-flow characteristics of Capto media with a small particle size, Capto SP ImpRes deliver excellent pressure-flow properties with excellent resolution. The ability to run at higher flow rates and higher bed heights increases productivity and flexibility in process design.
Characteristic High-resolution intermediate purification and polishing resin based on the well-established Capto platform with traditional ligands. Smaller particle size compared with Capto S.
Flexible process design due to large operational window of flow rates and bed heights.
High throughput purifications easy to optimize and scale-up.
Higher manufacturing productivity enables improved process economy.
Resin fulfills industrial demands for security of supply, robust performance, and regulatory support.

Cleaning-in-place Precipitated, hydrophobically bound proteins or lipoproteins: Wash with 1.0 M NaOH at 40 cm/h with reversed flow direction. Contact time 1 to 4 h, dependent on feed.
Ionically bound proteins: Wash with 0.5 to 2 column volumes (CV) of 2 M NaCl with reversed flow direction. Contact time 10 to 15 min.
Lipids and very hydrophobic proteins: Wash with 2 to 4 CV of up to 70% ethanol1 or 30% isopropanol with reversed flow direction. Contact time 1 to 2 h, dependent on feed. Alternatively, wash with 2 to 4 CV of 0.1% nonionic detergent with reversed flow direction. Contact time 1 to 2 h, dependent on feed.
Sanitization To reduce microbial contamination in the packed column, sanitization using 0.5 to 1 M NaOH with a contact time of 1 h is recommended.
