SE-016C Cross-linked Dextran Gel Filtration Resin (Medium)
Product Overview The the gel filtration resin Gel Filtration Resin series size-exclusion resins are epichlorohydrin cross-linked dextran microspheres. Dextran exhibits extremely low non-specific adsorption toward biomolecules. The hydrophilic, porous cross-linked dextran microspheres are mainly used for rapid buffer exchange, desalting, and group separation of biomolecules, featuring minimal sample dilution with high desalting efficiency and recovery. The globular protein exclusion limit is approximately 5,000 Da. Larger biomolecules have shorter residence times, while salts and other small molecules have longer retention, enabling separation based on size differences. This product is suitable for proteins, polysaccharides, nucleic acids, and other biomolecular samples. It can also be used for fractionation to purify peptides, oligonucleotides, antibiotics, and natural products with small molecular-weight differences.
Three particle size grades are available: Superfine, Medium, and Coarse. It is offered as dry powder and as pre-swollen microspheres.
