Depending on resolution requirements and application, the SP Strong Cation Exchange Resin series is available in three grades: Fast Flow SP Strong Cation Exchange Resin (~90 μm), High-Performance SP Strong Cation Exchange Resin (~35 μm), and Large-Bead SP Strong Cation Exchange Resin (~200 μm). Fast Flow SP Strong Cation Exchange Resin offers fast flow rates for rapid protein purification with broad applicability and easy scale-up. High-Performance SP Strong Cation Exchange Resin delivers high resolution and is mainly used in polishing steps. Large-Bead SP Strong Cation Exchange Resin features large particle size for high-viscosity systems such as blood products and can also be used in batch-mode static operations. SP is a strong acid group with a recommended working pH range of 3–13, broader than that of weak cation-exchange resins.
