High-Performance Phenyl Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography Resin

Product Overview Phenyl Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography Resins (High-Performance, Low-Substitution, and Fast Flow) are hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) media prepared by coupling phenyl groups to agarose gel microspheres via stable ether bonds. The phenyl group is strongly hydrophobic and engages in hydrophobic and π-π interactions with aromatic amino acid residues, making it suitable for capture and intermediate purification of target proteins. Phenyl Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography Resin, Fast Flow has a higher ligand density than Phenyl Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography Resin, Fast Flow (LS), giving different hydrophobicity and selectivity; users can choose the appropriate grade based on their application. High-Performance Phenyl Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography Resin is a high-resolution phenyl resin—HP stands for High Performance—and is mainly used in polishing steps. Typical applications of phenyl resins include production of recombinant human GM-CSF, G-CSF, M-CSF, and EGF, as well as monoclonal antibody purification.
