• Product Overview: HiTrap Phenyl HP are prepacked Phenyl Sepharose High Performance columns for high-resolution hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC). The columns are used for small-scale protein purification as well as for screening of binding and elutions conditions.

• Cleaning-in-place: HIC adsorbents can normally be regenerated by washing with distilled water. To prevent gradual build-up of contaminants on the column, regular cleaning is recommended. Precipitated proteins can be removed by washing with 5 CV 0.5 to 1.0 M NaOH followed by 5 to 10 CV water at a flow rate of 1 mL/min. Strongly bound substances can be removed by washing with 5 to 10 CV of up to 70% ethanol or 30% isopropanol.
