Product Overview This thiophilic affinity resin is made by coupling 2-mercaptopyridine to fine, high-rigidity agarose beads. Its optimized ligand density provides suitable affinity for IgM, and the fine beads enhance binding capacity for large IgM molecules. The principle relies on electron donor-acceptor interactions, which are stronger in high-salt and weaker in low-salt conditions.
