| MG-001A | MabAffinity rProtein G Agarose High Flow | Inquiry |
| Product Information | |
| Common Name | rProtein G |
| Cat#No# | MG-001A |
| Product Overview | Mab Affinity Protein G Agarose High Flow Resin is a high capacity, chemically stable affinity medium designed specially for the purification of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies and isolation of immune complex at laboratory and process scales. |
| Form | Slurry in 20% Ethanol |
| Characteristic | Recombinant Protein G has a mass of 21.6kDa,while its apparent size is 31 to 34 kDa by SDS-PAGE and contains only IgG binding domains. Compared to Protein A, Protein G binds more efficiently to polyclonal IgG from cow, sheep and horse, especially for certain subclasses including human IgG3, mouse IgG1 and rat IgG2a. Unlike Protein A, Protein G does not bind to human IgM, IgD and IgA. 1 ML of protein G-agarose binds 10 to 20 mg of pure IgG, which depends on the species and the IgG subclass. |
| Storage | Unused media can be stored in the container at a temperature of +4 to +8°C. Ensure that the screw top is fully tightened and keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-entilated place. Packed columns should be equilibrated in binding buffer containing 20% ethanol to prevent microbial growth. After storage, equilibrate with at least 5 bed volumes of starting buffer before use. |
| Packing Column | Mab Affinity Protein G Agarose High Flow is supplied as suspension in 20% ethanol. Decant the 20% ethanol solution and replace it with packing buffer or water before use. |
| Matrix | Highly cross-linked Agarose |
