This product is a ready-to-use three-color protein standard, containing 13 pre-stained proteins, covering various molecular weights from 5 to 245 kDa in Tris-Glycine buffer (in Bis-Tris (MOPS) buffer 3.5 to 235 kDa in solution and Bis-Tris (MES) buffer). Proteins are covalently coupled to different chromophores to facilitate identification of bands. When separated on SDS-PAGE (Tris-Glycine buffer), the two reference proteins carry enhanced intensity bands corresponding to 25 kDa in green and 75 kDa in red, respectively.
Form
Each protein in the buffer is about 0.1~0.4 mg/ml. The buffer is 20 mM Tris-phosphate, pH 7.5, 25°C, 2% SDS, 0.2 mM dithiothreitol, 3.6 M urea and 15% (v/v) glycerol.
Applications
Used to monitor protein separation during SDS-PAGE, verify the Western transfer efficiency on the membrane (PVDF, nylon or nitrocellulose) and estimate the size of the protein

Quality control analysis
13 protein bands were formed in 15% SDS-PAGE (Bis-Tris gel, MES buffer), which were transferred to NC membrane by Western blot.
Loading volume
15-well or 10-well micro-gels can be clearly seen by loading 3μl or 5μl electrophoresis respectively.The Western membrane transfer efficiency test is generally 1.5~2.5 μl.
