Introduction of Affinity Chromatography

Affinity chromatography (AC) is a method for separating biomacromolecules by using the characteristics of specific recognition and reversible binding between biomacromolecules and some corresponding specific molecules. With this method, high-purity proteins are often obtained in one step, resulting in a well-established method for protein isolation. Proteins can be separated based on their specificity for a particular ligand rather than their ability to bind covalently. AC has been widely used in biotechnology fields such as serum separation, enzyme purification, antibody preparation, virus isolation, and genetic engineering. It can selectively isolate and enrich the biomacromolecules or cells needed for research, providing powerful technical support for many biological research and applications.

Types of Our Products

His-Tag can be inserted into the C-terminal or N-terminal of the target protein, so most recombinant proteins are expressed by using it. Due to their surface properties, His-tagged proteins can be selectively combined with chromatographic analysis.

GST can specifically bind to glutathione, acting as both an enzyme and a substrate. The GST tag is used to express the fusion protein, which specifically binds to the affinity medium with the glutathione ligand, thereby purifying the target protein.

The biotin-avidin system (BAS) is a protein-ligand interaction system that exists in nature. This system has been successfully used in the detection and purification of proteins, nucleic acids, and lipids.

Easy one-step purification of immunoglobulins, especially IgG isotypes, and fusion proteins containing Fc regions.

A commonly used protein purification technique is immobilized metal ion affinity chromatography (IMAC), which uses the interaction between metal ions and affinity groups in proteins separated from the mixture.

MBP can promote the soluble expression of fusion proteins, especially for eukaryotic proteins that are difficult to express, and membrane protein viral proteins have good solubility and expression capabilities.

Human albumin AC resin, heparin AC resin, hCG-AC resin, etc.
